Non-Surgical Hyaluronic Acid Phalloplasty: The 2025 Guide to Non-Invasive Penile Enlargement

February 7, 2025 Marta Aesthetic Medicine, News and novelties, Treatments 46

man

In recent years, non-surgical phalloplasty with hyaluronic acid has gained increasing popularity as a non-invasive solution for increasing penile girth.
Recent studies have shown that this treatment not only provides effective aesthetic results, but also offers significant psychological and functional benefits to the patient.

Let's discover together all the new features and advantages of this procedure.

What is Hyaluronic Acid Phalloplasty?

Non-surgical hyaluronic acid phalloplasty involves injecting a hyaluronic acid-based filler into the penis to increase its volume. This treatment is ideal for those seeking aesthetic and functional improvement without resorting to invasive surgery.

What's New in 2025

Thanks to advances in aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid phalloplasty is even more effective, long-lasting, and effective in 2025.

Here are some of the main innovations:

  1. New Hyaluronic Acid Formulations
The new fillers are more resistant to natural degradation, ensuring longer-lasting results.
  2. Improved Injection Techniques:
The use of blunt-tipped cannulas reduces the risk of bruising and ensures more even distribution of the filler. Newer methods include the fan technique, which allows for greater symmetry and a natural effect.
  3. Greater Safety and Fewer Side Effects
The risk of lumps or irregularities has been minimized and the most common side effects (swelling and redness) generally resolve within a week.
  4. Treatment Personalization:
Today, a wide range of fillers are available on the market to choose from based on the patient's specific morphology and desired goals. Furthermore, non-surgical phalloplasty can be combined with complementary treatments, such as the use of PRP to improve tissue quality.

Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid Phalloplasty

  • Non-invasive: no surgery or hospital stay.
  • Immediate results: volume increases immediately after the procedure.
  • Rapid recovery: Patients can return to daily life within 24-48 hours.
  • Reversibility: in case of dissatisfaction, the filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
  • Long-term psychological benefits: A study published in 2022 in the Asian Journal of Andrology  showed that patients undergoing hyaluronic acid phalloplasty reported a reduction in anxiety related to penis size and an improvement in their quality of sex life. Additionally, 78% of patients reported increased confidence in showing their bodies in intimate situations.
  • Functional benefits: Clinical studies have shown that hyaluronic acid phalloplasty can also improve erectile function and ejaculatory control. Specifically, patients have reported increased skin elasticity and reduced sensitivity, which, in some cases, has contributed to prolonging ejaculatory latency.

What to Expect After Treatment?

After treatment, it's recommended to avoid sexual intercourse for at least four weeks to allow the filler to set. You may experience some slight swelling or redness, which disappears within a few days.

Aesthetic medicine treatments: how to enhance beauty at every stage of life

January 14, 2025 Linda Aesthetic Medicine, News and Updates 43

When is the right time to start aesthetic medicine? The answer isn't clear-cut and depends on several factors, including individual needs, lifestyle , and, of course, age.Skincare and wellness are issues that evolve over time, requiring specific attention and targeted treatments depending on age.

In general, we can say that aesthetic medicine offers personalized solutions to meet the different needs that arise as we age.

At 20-30 years old: prevention and hydration

At this stage, skin is youthful, toned, and free of visible signs of aging. However, this is the ideal time to begin a prevention program, laying the foundation for healthy, radiant skin over time. Taking care of your skin at a young age effectively counteracts future damage caused by environmental factors (sun, pollution), stress , and lifestyle habits, thus slowing the skin's aging process. Recommended treatments for this age group include:

  • Personalized Skincare: Using specific products with vitamin C and hyaluronic acid can help keep skin hydrated and promote elasticity.
  • Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher): essential to prevent damage caused by UV rays, the main cause of skin aging.
  • Light Chemical Peels: to gently exfoliate the surface layer of the skin, improving its texture, brightness and evening out the complexion.
  • Biostimulation: through microinjections of biocompatible substances, skin regeneration is stimulated, supporting the production of new collagen and improving skin luminosity, without altering facial volumes.
  • Mesotherapy: cocktails of vitamins, minerals, and hyaluronic acid to improve skin hydration, elasticity, and tone.

From 30 to 40 years old: correction of the first wrinkles and loss of volume

This decade is when the first signs of aging, such as fine wrinkles, loss of radiance, and skin tone. It's the ideal time to intervene with targeted treatments:

  • Advanced Biostimulation: with concentrated formulations for greater stimulation of collagen and elastin.
  • Hyaluronic Acid Fillers: to fill more marked wrinkles, such as nasolabial folds and perioral wrinkles, and to restore lost volume to the cheekbones and lips.
  • Medium Chemical Peels: fora slightly deeper exfoliation, aimed at stimulating cell renewal, improving skin texture, tone and brightness, also reducing superficial blemishes.

At 40-55: Regeneration and Redefinition

As we mature, the skin tends to progressively lose elasticity and volume. Treatments must be more effective to combat the signs of aging. The primary goal is to combat sagging skin, improve skin quality, and provide deep hydration. Recommended treatments include:

  • Specific Anti-Age Skincare: The use of targeted cosmetics becomes even more important to support professional treatments and maintain results over time.
  • Volumizing fillers based on hyaluronic acid: indicated for restoring lost volume in strategic areas such as cheekbones, chin and temples, redefining facial contours and reducing deeper wrinkles.
  • Biostimulation: preventative treatments aimed at stimulating long-term collagen production, resulting in a reduction in skin laxity and improved skin firmness and tone.
  • Combined Treatments: Combining different techniques, such as fillers, peels and biostimulation, can optimize results.

Over 55: Maintenance and Harmony

After age 55, the primary goal is not to erase the passing of time, but rather to enhance mature and natural beauty, maintaining a fresh and harmonious appearance. At this stage, the skin may experience a greater loss of elasticity, deeper wrinkles, accentuated skin laxity, discoloration, and a decrease in hydration. The ideal approach is acomprehensive facial harmonization, through combined and personalized treatments that respect individual features and promote a natural and balanced result.

Recommended treatments for facials over 55 are primarily combination treatments: the combined approach, which involves the synergistic use of different techniques, is often the most effective strategy for achieving a harmonious and natural result, personalized to the specific needs of each patient, aimed at overall facial harmonization.

Conclusion

Beauty is ageless, but every stage of life requires special attention. Relying on qualified aesthetic medicine specialists is essential to receive personalized and safe treatments, designed to enhance natural beauty and ensure harmonious results over time.

SIME 2024: Discovering Beauty with Dr. Pierfrancesco Bove

May 2, 2024 Linda Events, Ksurgery MED, Aesthetic Medicine 116

K: Good morning Dr. Bove, we read in your biography that you've always combined your passion for cosmetic surgery with your passion for photography and painting, managing to bridge two seemingly distant but actually connected worlds. What connection do you see between these worlds?

B: The role of a cosmetic surgeon is unique because it requires a great deal of manual skill. We work with our hands, like artisans, only instead of sculpting wood or marble, we sculpt the human body. There are many parallels with art, from painting to photography. Even in my own presentation, I showcase artworks from various eras, from Ancient Greece to the present day, to demonstrate that the common thread has always been and will always be beauty. While the concept of beauty may evolve over time, aesthetic taste remains relevant, personal, and meaningful. As the saying goes, "beauty will save the world."

K: So, for you, beauty is both a starting point and an arrival point?

B: Exactly. Beauty is our source of inspiration, and we want patients to share this vision. I try to immerse them in an aesthetically pleasing and stimulating environment, even in my office, to make them feel surrounded by beauty. When a patient chooses a cosmetic surgeon, they should find a competent professional with whom they share a common aesthetic taste. Beauty is subjective, and the choice of professional should reflect this individuality.

K: Moving on to the topic of the seminar you will present at SIME 2024, “Buttock Reshaping with Micromolecular Hyaluronic Acid,” can you give us a preview?

B: Well, I chose to use the term "micromolecular" in the seminar title because I want to emphasize that, although hyaluronic acid's micromolecular nature is usually considered a limitation for body treatments, I find it an advantage. Its micromolecular consistency allows for more natural absorption in the body and offers more natural and long-lasting results. Contrary to expectations, the product isn't noticeable to the touch after just a few days, but it guarantees a long-lasting filling effect. The metaphor I often use with colleagues during training sessions is that of a wall: it's like building a wall with small bricks rather than huge blocks. Even if it takes longer, the result is more flexible and natural.

K: Can I ask you for a somewhat delicate comparison: what advantages do you see in this hyaluronic acid technique compared to lipofilling or permanent implants for buttock remodeling?

B: First of all, they are different approaches because lipofilling and implantation require surgery, while filler offers advantages in terms of comfort for the patient, as it can be performed even during a lunch break and does not require extensive recovery.

Furthermore, it's worth noting that lipofilling typically involves inserting a surplus of approximately 30% fat, as some of it is rapidly reabsorbed, making the result less predictable. It's also important to consider that the injected fat may shrink if the patient loses weight, and it's important to note that most patients who choose gluteal fillers are very physically active and diet-conscious.

Buttock implants, despite evolving toward simpler surgical procedures over time, carry the risk of complications and require more invasive procedures, the health impacts of which could become apparent in the future, especially in relation to their possible removal or replacement.

On the other hand, hyaluronic acid treatment for the buttocks is simpler and requires minimal post-treatment care, offering visible and long-lasting results after just one week. I often advise patients to consider it as a long-term project: although the initial expense can be significant, the long-lasting results and the possibility of additional maintenance treatments make this option highly satisfying over time. I have patients who continue to enjoy exceptional results for 4-5 years after receiving hyaluronic acid treatment, thus confirming its effectiveness and long-term satisfaction.

K: Returning to the AMWC in Munich, you recently attended this conference, which attracted record numbers. What, in your opinion, are the new perspectives in aesthetic medicine?

B: The AMWC is a key event in the field of aesthetic medicine and plays a key role in defining future trends. Personally, I believe that regenerative aesthetic medicine represents one of the most promising directions. The combined use of regenerative techniques with hyaluronic acid fillers could open new frontiers in the field. For example, I've heard of fat cryopreservation for stem cells, which could be integrated with hyaluronic acid-based treatments. This synergy is very exciting and could represent the future of aesthetic medicine.

Don't miss the opportunity to attend Dr. Pierfrancesco Bove 's workshop , which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on April 11, 2024, during the 45th SIME Congress.

Jessner Peel: The Ideal Treatment for Sensitive Skin

November 25, 2021 Marta Ksurgery MED, Aesthetic Medicine 116

In common parlance, the Jessner Solution generally refers to a chemical peel with a notable lightening and smoothing effect, which contains multiple benefits for the skin. In this article, we will focus on understanding the original composition of the Jessner peel, comparing it with both the modified version and a TCA-based peel.

peeling for aesthetic medicine

What is meant by Jessner Solution

The Jessner peel is a treatment with remarkable regenerating and clarifying properties. It's ideal for all skin types because it exfoliates only on the surface. Its exfoliating power, which rarely penetrates deeper than desired, is therefore gentleand particularly suitable for sensitive skin.

In its localized use, its keratolytic and lightening effects are recognized .

Jessner Solution Peels: What are they for?

The Jessner peeling is an ideal treatment for treating damage caused by photoaging and chronoaging.

With its delicate soft resurfacing, it acts on perioral wrinkles, blemishes and acquired pigmentation.

The Jessner solution is an excellent treatment to offer to patients who have seborrheic skin with enlarged pores or acne scars.

Jessner peeling

What is meant by modified Jessner peel?

Ksurgery has renewed the well-known solution by replacing Salicylic Acid with Succinic Acid and Resorcinol, a derivative of resorcinol.

He therefore chose to offer his customers a new composition:

  • Lactic Acid | An acid that promotes skin exfoliation, reaching even the deepest layers of the epidermis.
  • Succinic Acid | Blocks free radicals, exerts an antioxidant effect, stimulates tissue respiration, and increases the synthesis of structural proteins in the skin.
  • Resorcinol derivative | Known for its beneficial properties against acne

Jessner vs. Modified Jessner: What are the differences?

Thanks to its specific formulation, renewed in its active ingredients and intent, the Modified Jessner is a less aggressive chemical peel than the traditional Jessner solution and is suitable for even the most sensitive skin.

Jessner vs. TCA: What are the differences?

A TCA peel is generally a stronger chemical peel than a Jessner peel. It penetrates deeper into the dermis to address more pronounced signs of aging and hyperpigmentation. TCA-based peels promote deep cell turnover, revealing healthier, younger-looking skin.

It's important to remember that TCA peels also offer varying levels of action. Different concentrations of trichloroacetic acid allow them to address different types of skin blemishes and be used on more or less sensitive skin.

Jessner Peel: Effects on the Skin

The Jessner peel is a treatment with no side effects and the patient can resume his or her normal life without any limitations.

Peeling for Doctors: A Brief Guide

October 26, 2021 Marta Ksurgery MED, Aesthetic Medicine 117

Medical peels, better known as chemical peels, are a must-have treatment for any aesthetic physician or dermatologist. Their ease of use, rapid application, and immediately visible results make them one of the most popular treatments among patients. In the following article, we'll provide information on the most effective medical peels on the market.

peeling for aesthetic medicine

How does medical peeling work?

The methodology of medical skin peeling is based on anassisted exfoliation of the dermis, which helps to This procedure is used to remove dead cells from the stratum corneum and thus promote accelerated skin regeneration.

Chemical peels are recommended to help with numerous skin blemishes: keratosis, lentigo solaris, pigmentation alterations, chloasma and melasma, acne, sebaceous hyperplasia, superficial scars and superficial wrinkles: a multifunctional product in order to restore tone, freshness and brightness to the face.

Medical peeling is not performed in a beauty salon

medical peels should not be confused with cosmetic peels, which instead work only on the stratum corneum of the skin. Medical peels use one or more acids that act on the skin at a chemical level.

The higher concentration of chemical active ingredients used in medical peels means that only a doctor can perform this type of treatment on patients.

Peeling: all types of peeling according to doctors

Peels differ based on the different level of exfoliation and therefore their intensity of action.

Superficial peeling: its characteristics

In superficial peeling, the professional uses a delicate acid, which works on the uppermost layer of the dermis.

It's a low-intensity peel, ideal for most patients. Its action helps improve the skin's appearance, enhancing its smoothness and radiance, as well as even out its complexion.

Medium peeling: its characteristics

While superficial peels helped enhance the beauty and well-being of the face, neck, décolleté, and hands, medium-intensity peels also improved age spots and lentigo. This type of peel provides a more structured approach to blemishes, helps smooth skin roughness, and treats actinic keratosis.

Deep peeling: its characteristics

A deep peel is a product used exclusively by aesthetic doctors or dermatologists. This peel targets the deeper layers of the dermis and therefore helps address a wide range of facial blemishes, such as deep wrinkles, age spots, and superficial scars.

Medical peels: where to buy them

Ksurgery Ksurgery offers a wide range of peels for doctors and aesthetic clinics based on the most effective substances: mandelic acid, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, lactic acid, Jessner solution, and TCA

Among the formulations of the Opéra line, Opéra IV has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid molecules, ideal for the treatment of deep wrinkles and particularly marked skin laxity.

A filler that acts on multiple areas of the face, fighting wrinkles, redefining the jawline and reshaping the face without surgery.

Tc Plus gets a makeover: discover the new revitalizing peel with TCA

May 21, 2021 Marta Aesthetic Medicine 91

A non-invasive, needle-free, and painless revitalization treatment. A revitalizing peel in the form of a fluid gel containing varying percentages of trichloroacetic acid (TCA), mandelic acid, and kojic acid. Applied through a specific massage, it restructures tissues thanks to the action of the trichloroacetic acid, which triggers a true regenerative process in fibroblasts and collagen.

TC PLUS is a topical medical device (class IIa).

Thanks to its two different concentrations of trichloroacetic acid, it is a revitalizing peel designed for all skin types and all phototypes (I-VI); ideal for hydrating, counteracting the effects of skin aging and restoring the skin's physiological condition.

A quick and painless treatment that aims to firm the skin, improving the hydration, firmness and brightness of the face, neck, décolleté and hands.

How it works

TC PLUS is a medical peel that contains three different acids which, when combined, allow the patient to achieve different objectives and benefits.

  • TRICHLOROACETIC ACID – Used on superficial keratoses and against the first signs of aging (fine wrinkles, dull complexion, photoaging), it acts as a true skin renewer, giving new tone, shine and smoothness to the skin.
  • MANDELIC ACID – This acid, with powerful depigmenting properties, targets blemishes associated with photoaging, marks left by pimples and blackheads, and has a significant brightening effect on dull skin. Its antibacterial properties prevent acne.
  • KOJIC ACID – Excellent inhibitor of melanogenesis, it is used in the treatment of melisma, chloasma, senile lentigo, solar lentigo and dark circles under the eyes.

Two new formulations for an even deeper, more selective and effective treatment

The product features a dual formulation with different percentages of trichloroacetic acid (TCA), primarily to offer patients the ideal concentration to treat their needs.

TC PLUS Soft – Revitalizing peeling with 12% TCA

This revitalizing peel targets the stratum corneum and granulosum of the epidermis, targeting wrinkles and superficial scars. The treatment begins by deeply hydrating and toning the skin on the face, neck, and décolleté. Its depigmenting action specifically targets skin blemishes and mild discolorations. Its low-concentration TCA formulation makes it suitable for all ages, ideal for younger patients and those with more sensitive skin.

TC PLUS Strong – Revitalizing peeling with 20% TCA

It's a revitalizing peel with a high concentration of trichloroacetic acid that works across the entire thickness of the epidermis, aiming to treat moderate to severe acne lesions, deep scarring, and all signs of skin aging, such as longitudinal folds, dehydrated skin, dark spots, and spider veins. In other words, the treatment promotes cell renewal, reducing wrinkles, medium-to-superficial scars, and dark spots; it deeply hydrates and tones the facial skin
