Efficacy studies
The effectiveness of Nebula has been tested through comparative studies with competing products containing a higher percentage of acids in their formula. The key parameters for a chemical peel were taken into consideration: the product's keratolytic action, the exfoliating dryness it provides, potential side effects, and the inflammatory response it triggers.
Keratolytic effect
Tests with competing products highlight the superior exfoliating power of Nebula | ACTO2 when compared to products with a higher concentration of acids. The graph shows how the stratum corneum removed after treatment is up to 12% thinner.
Dryness
Dryness is directly proportional to a product's keratolytic action. Increased dryness therefore indicates greater exfoliation of the stratum corneum. Nebula | ACTO2 demonstrated a 10% increase in skin dryness compared to other products with a higher percentage of acids in the formula.
Side effects
Tests with competing products highlight the superior exfoliating power of Nebula | ACTO2 when compared to products with a higher concentration of acids. The graph shows how the stratum corneum removed after treatment is up to 12% thinner.
The Nebula ACTO2 product has been shown to significantly reduce IL-1α at tested concentrations of 1.0 and 0.5 mg/ml (with a reduction of 14.4% and 13.7%, respectively, compared to no treatment).
The competitor product, at the concentrations tested, does not prove capable of significantly reducing IL-1α levels.
Interleukin-1α (IL-1α) is constitutively produced in large quantities by keratinocytes: under normal conditions, it remains stored within them, while damage or various stimuli can trigger its release. The primary role of IL-1α is to maintain the integrity of the skin's barrier function by preventing the entry of pathogenic microorganisms into the body, so its release indicates a significant inflammatory response. Comparison tests with a competing product show that Nebula | ACTO2 is able to significantly reduce IL-1α production by approximately 15%, demonstrating a soothing effect.

Nebula | ACTO2
Superficial chemical peel that acts on the stratum corneum and granulosum of the epidermis to treat mild acne lesions (comedones) as well as superficial scars. The blend of acids providesgentle exfoliation and adepigmenting effect for the treatment of mild discoloration. Removing the most damaged outer layers promotes cell renewal, reducing wrinkles, superficial scars, and skin blemishes.
WHO IS IT RECOMMENDED FOR?
This treatment is recommended for young skin. It's ideal for treating sensitive skin.
Nebula | ACTO2 Orion
A chemical peel with a high concentration of trichloroacetic acid that acts on the entire thickness of the epidermis, aimed at treating moderate to severe acne lesions (papules, pustules, nodules, and cysts) and deep scarring. The blend of acids providesintense exfoliation while simultaneously depigmenting the skin for more severe discoloration. It promotes cell renewal, reducing wrinkles, medium-to-superficial scars, and dark spots.
WHO IS IT RECOMMENDED FOR?
This treatment is recommended for mature skin.
RH Virgo
Dermatologically tested on sensitive skin, RH VIRGO is a post-treatment cream that helps soothe and protect the skin;
